Flu Season Visitor Restrictions

Effective January 6, 2020

To minimize the spread of the flu, Frederick Health has implemented our flu season visitor policy. Guidelines are subject to change as the flu season progresses. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Do not visit if you have flu-like symptoms:

  • Fever Unexplained Nausea
  • Sore Throat Vomiting, and Diarrhea Runny Nose
  • Muscle Aches
  • Cough
  • Chills

■ A patient may have two (2) healthy visitors at a time.

■ Those at increased risk of infection, including children, the elderly, and other vulnerable populations, are discouraged from visiting at this time.

■ Use the flu stations at each entrance to clean your hands and put on a mask to protect yourself. Hand sanitizer dispensers are located throughout the building for use while visiting.

■ If you are a patient or visitor who must be here and you have flu-like symptoms, you must wear a mask and avoid crowded public areas (Cafeteria, Gift Shop, etc.).

■ We reserve the right to ask you to visit at another time, when you are healthy, if you are displaying signs of illness.

■ You may see staff wearing masks as a preventative measure.
