Bring your newborn and yourself home with peace of mind. Join us for this FREE workshop filled with practical information on newborn and postpartum care.
This workshop is designed to help you and your newborn thrive after the birth of your baby, and is open to all pregnant Frederick County residents, regardless of where you choose to give birth.
Led by Margaret Manning, BSN, RN, PMH-C, CPST, Family Connects Frederick County Nurse, you'll learn helpful information and tips about:
- Essential newborn care (diapering, bathing, feeding)
- Safe sleep practices
- Postpartum recovery
- Warning signs for birth parent and newborn
- Car seat safety basics
You will also learn about Family Connects Frederick County, a free service available to all Frederick County residents with a newborn, which provides a free at-home nurse visit when the baby is about 3 weeks old.
Completely free, regardless of insurance coverage, this vital service is designed to support birth parents, newborns, and immediate family members with personalized and accessible health and community resources.
