Becker's Hospital Review has released its “100 Great Community Hospitals” list for 2026, honoring four Maryland hospitals including Frederick Health Hospital for its innovative approach and commitment to expanding care.
“The hospitals on this list prove that extraordinary care is not the exclusive domain of large academic medical centers or major metropolitan health systems,” according to Becker's Hospital Review’s press release. “Working within real-world resource constraints, these community hospitals deliver expert clinical care, drive local innovation and serve as economic cornerstones for the regions they call home.”
Within the recognition, Becker’s Hospital Review highlights Frederick Health Hospital’s 120 years of service to the Frederick community, and more recently the organization’s innovations to keep advanced care accessible within Frederick County.
“We are proud to be one of only four hospitals in Maryland to earn this honor,” said Dr. Cheryl Cioffi, President & CEO of Frederick Health. “It speaks to our team’s unique level of compassion, our deep history of service, and devotion to providing quality patient care to our neighbors, friends, and family.”
