Recently, the Nora Roberts Foundation presented Frederick Memorial Hospital
with a $200,000 pledge in support of the James M Stockman Cancer Institute.
This contribution will help FMH expand its award-winning oncology program
into a fully integrated, comprehensive Cancer Institute.
Since 2002, the Nora Roberts Foundation has been an avid supporter of FMH,
pledging a total of $700,000 to help FMH with funding priorities.
“We thank the Nora Roberts Foundation for the investment they are
making in the future of healthcare in Frederick County. Through their
generosity, the Foundation is ensuring that cancer patients from our area
can receive the very best and most convenient treatment right here close
to home at the James M Stockman Cancer Institute,” stated Tom Kleinhanzl,
President & CEO, Frederick Regional Health System.
"The Nora Roberts Foundation supports Frederick Memorial Hospital's
desire to contribute to the health and well-being of local residents.
Both in newborn care with the KayLo pediatric unit, and later in life
with the James M Stockman Cancer Institute," stated Jason Aufdem-Brinke,
Executive Director, Nora Roberts Foundation.
By virtue of the Foundation’s generous gift, they are also recognized
as a member of the FMH Corporate Honor Roll. The FMH Business & Industry
Committee founded the FMH Corporate Honor Roll program to provide financial
support for FMH's strategic capital goals. The Corporate Honor Roll
roster includes a diverse group of 80 local businesses, organizations
and foundations dedicated to helping FMH fulfill its commitment to serving
the health care needs of our community.
