Care for a Lifetime Campaign
At Frederick Health, caring for our community goes beyond treating illness—it’s about nurturing health and well-being at every stage of life. As our community continues to grow, so do the health and wellness needs of those who call it home. As an independent, not-for-profit healthcare system led by a community-based Board of Directors, we have the flexibility to address these needs with strategic and innovative approaches informed by local insight and expertise. Every initiative we pursue is driven by our commitment to ensuring that high-quality care remains accessible, equitable, and responsive to the shifting priorities of our community. The Care for a Lifetime Campaign is a reflection of this commitment.
This 5-year, $25 million fundraising initiative supports our bold vision for the future: one where fewer families have to travel far from home for specialized care, where underserved populations have greater access to the health services they deserve, and where our healthcare professionals are equipped with the tools and resources they need to thrive. It’s a future where every individual in our community— regardless of age, background, or circumstance—can rely on a healthcare system that is resilient, innovative, compassionate, and close to home.
A New Approach
The Care for a Lifetime Campaign marks an exciting new chapter in our philanthropic history—introducing a unique, donor-centric approach to fundraising that reflects the needs of our patients, community, and staff. Thoughtfully conceptualized by our Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team, this is our first campaign built around funding pillars, each focused on a critical area of need within our healthcare system. This new structure not only supports essential funding priorities, but also allows donors to make a personal impact by directing their gifts to a program or service that resonates most with them.
Funding Pillars
By analyzing health trends, patient volumes, service gaps, and the evolving needs of our staff, we identified key areas where charitable support could make the greatest and most lasting impact. From this process, the following three funding pillars were created:
-
Pillar One: Clinical Service Lines & Patient Care
-
Pillar Two: Community Health
-
Pillar Three: Empowering Health Professionals
