Breastfeeding Education & Support

Baby BEST (Breastfeeding Education and Support Together) is a program offered by the Birth Place to support nursing moms. Breast milk is the best nutrition for babies. Our lactation consultants help you succeed with breastfeeding through education and consultations.

Baby BEST services include:

  • An online monthly prenatal breastfeeding education class for expectant couples
  • A breastfeeding helpline that you can reach at 240-566-3880.
  • Daily breastfeeding support for new parents in the Birth Place
  • A weekly in-person breastfeeding support group for parents and their babies.

How Do You Reach the Baby BEST Program?

Our office is located near the Birth Place on the first floor of the hospital. You can contact us by phone at 240-566-3880. Our voicemail is checked regularly throughout the day. Your call will be returned by a lactation consultant.
