Preceptors
Nakia Eldridge, PharmD, MBA
Dr. Eldridge serves as the Director of Pharmacy at Frederick Health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami, Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maryland RH Smith School of Business, and her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. With over two decades in hospitals and public health settings, she is a healthcare leader and pharmacist recognized for her expertise in patient safety, pharmacy operations, and advancing healthcare standards. Dr. Eldridge enjoys mentoring pharmacy students and advocating for better patient outcomes in the healthcare setting.
Adam Shimoda, PharmD
Dr. Shimoda graduated from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 2014. Dr. Shimoda assumed the Manager, Pharmacy Operations role for Frederick Health in November 2021. Prior to taking on this role, Dr. Shimoda served as the Regional Director of Pharmacy Operations for a national provider of long-term care pharmacy services overseeing pharmaceutical care to 18,000 skilled nursing beds across 10 states. He strives to educate new and established pharmacists in LEAN principles and their impact on operational and clinical outcomes. Dr. Shimoda enjoys spending time with his two young children and a variety of outdoor activities.
Hannah Rinker, PharmD, MPH
Dr. Rinker is the Manager of Retail Pharmacy Services at Frederick Health. A Charleston, SC native, she earned a BA in Chemistry from North Carolina State University, a Doctor of Pharmacy from Shenandoah University (2016), and a Master of Public Health from Shenandoah (2022). She is passionate about care transitions and patient advocacy, having led the implementation of a bedside medication delivery program to enhance outcomes. Dr. Rinker serves as a preceptor for Shenandoah University and will be an administrative preceptor for Frederick Health’s Community Based PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband and four children—most often on a court or ball field.
Robyn Firmin, PharmD, BCPP
Dr. Firmin is the Residency Program Director for the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Frederick Health Hospital. She earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Taking a non-traditional route, she worked in a state psychiatric facility for several years before obtaining her board certification in psychiatric pharmacy. She has since joined Frederick Health as the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Behavioral Health. She currently serves as preceptor for both the Acute Care Psychiatry learning experience. She serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience preceptor for the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Shenandoah University, and Notre Dame of Maryland University. When not working, Dr. Firmin enjoys spending time with her family including her many dogs and cats.
Nadia Adjin-Tettey, PharmD
Dr. Adjin-Tettey obtained her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University Of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, Maryland. She went on to complete her PGY-1 at Frederick Health Hospital. After completing her residency, she was hired on with Frederick Health as a Clinical Pharmacist and was later promoted to being a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Pharmacy Informatics. She has earned the ASHP Certificate in Pharmacy Informatics. In her free time, Dr. Adjin-Tettey enjoys spending time with her family, baking and traveling.
Matthew Brooks, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Brooks earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy before completing his PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at the Valley Health Winchester Medical Center in 2022. He stayed on as a pharmacist for almost a year before transitioning to the Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Specialist at WVUM - Berkley Medical Center. Dr. Brooks has recently joined the Frederick Health team as the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Emergency Medicine.
Mary Colson, PharmD, BCGP, CPGx
Dr. Colson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Dr. Colson also completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Frederick Health Hospital. Following residency, she was hired as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Transitions of Care and remained in this role for the first 5 years of her career. She then took on a new role as Frederick Health’s Pharmacogenomics Pharmacist. She holds both a board certification as a Geriatric Pharmacist and a Pharmacogenomics certificate. She serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience preceptor for both Shenandoah University and the University of Maryland Schools of Pharmacies. For fun, Dr. Colson enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and crafting.
Katie Heavner, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Heavner graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelors of Science in May 2010 before going on to the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy where she earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2014. She then ventured to Connecticut to complete a PGY-1 at Yale-New Haven Hospital in June 2015 and earned a teaching certificate along the way. After residency, Dr. Heavner returned to Maryland and started working at Frederick Health Hospital in 2016 as a clinical pharmacist. Dr. Heavner currently precepts for the Clinical Skills & Decentralized Pharmacist learning experience. She also serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience preceptor for Notre Dame of Maryland University and the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Outside the work environment, Dr. Heavner enjoys traveling, reading, crafting and exploring the outdoors.
Jessica Jordan, PharmD, BCGP
Dr. Jordan is originally from Barbados and earned her pharmacy degree from the University of Toronto before completing her non-traditional Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of Florida in 2015. She has practiced at Frederick Health for nearly 15 years in diverse inpatient and outpatient roles—including emergency medicine, ambulatory care, and care transitions—and now specializes in geriatrics and care transitions. Board certified in geriatric pharmacy since 2019, Dr. Jordan is passionate about polypharmacy stewardship, age-friendly healthcare, and preventing adverse drug reactions and prescribing cascades in older adults. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her Savannah cat, reading, being outdoors, and visiting her home island of Barbados.
Rose Jung, PharmD
Dr. Jung is a clinical pharmacist at Frederick Health Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2020 from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She then went on to work as a clinical pharmacist for UMass Memorial Health for several years before relocating to Maryland in 2023 where she served as Lead Clinical Pharmacist at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center. Dr, Jung is now the evening Clinical Pharmacist at Frederick Health Hospital.
Lauren Marchone, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Marchone is a clinical pharmacist at Frederick Health Hospital. She obtained her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree at University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, Maryland in 2008. Afterwards, she ventured into retail pharmacy briefly before switching to a clinical role at Frederick Health Hospital. She has been involved in several aspects of pharmacy at FHH including the anticoagulation clinic, decentralized pharmacist, ICU, NICU, and Emergency Department. Dr. Marchone took on the role of preceptor for the Anticoagulation Clinic longitudinal learning experience for several years before returning her focus back to inpatient services. Currently, she precepts for the Clinical Skills & Decentralized Pharmacist learning experience. In her free time, she enjoys raising her busy family with three energetic boys.
Sheryl Nwankwo, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Nwankwo earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of Houston in 2014 and then obtained her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University Of Houston School Of Pharmacy in May 2019. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch CMC in June 2020. Her residency experience was a unique ambulatory care role in the correctional system in Huntsville, Texas. Dr. Nwankwo started within the Frederick Health System in April 2025 as a decentralized clinical pharmacist and co-precepts the Clinical Skills & Decentralized Pharmacist learning experience. In her free time, Dr. Nwankwo loves traveling, reading, and going to concerts/art shows.
Caitlin Roe, PharmD, BCPPS
Dr. Roe graduated with a Chemistry degree from Towson University in 2016 and earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy from University of Maryland in 2020. She completed her PGY-1 training at Frederick Health Hospital. After residency, she was hired on as a Clinical Pharmacist and currently is the Pediatric/NICU Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. Dr. Roe serves as a preceptor for both the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit & Pediatrics learning experience and longitudinal Parenteral Nutrition learning experience. Dr. Roe sits on the Malnutrition and Obstetrics harm task forces. She enjoys all desserts/sweets, spending time with family and friends, reading, watching movies, going to amusement parks, and hiking.
Andrew Rogalski, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Rogalski earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2009 from the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy. He went on to the University of Kentucky to complete both a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Residency. He was with the VA for several years before coming to Frederick Health as a Clinical Pharmacist covering both inpatient and outpatient needs.
Annie Shanton, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Shanton is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Following graduation, she completed her PGY1 at UC San Diego Health, during which time she earned her teaching certificate. Prior to joining Frederick Health Hospital, she worked full time as a clinical staff pharmacist at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA as well as Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida where she completed the SIDP Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate Program for pharmacists. At Frederick Health Hospital, she is the Medication Safety Officer and precepts the Medication Distribution longitudinal learning experience and the Medication Safety elective.
Residents
Daniella Doan, PharmD
Dr. Doan was born and raised in Montgomery County, MD. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She then earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy in May 2026 from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. As the inaugural Community-Based PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at Frederick Health, she is excited to help shape the residency program while serving the community. Her professional interests include medication safety, transitions of care, and ambulatory care. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys cooking, caring for her sourdough starter, "Doughborah," and spending time with family and friends.
Johnathan Grant, PharmD
Dr. Grant is a graduate of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy. He is not new to the organization, having worked for Frederick Health for several years as a medication history pharmacy technician before becoming one of the two PGY-1 Pharmacy Residents. He has a great interest in critical care and cardiology and hopes to strengthen his skills over the coming year. In his spare time, Dr. Grant enjoys spending time with his family, trying new foods, and taking care of the animals on his hobby farm.
Margaret Knott, PharmD
A lifelong Frederick, Maryland, resident, Dr. Knott was born and raised in the community she is proud to serve. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore, where she discovered her passion for caring for pediatric patients. She is currently one of the two PGY-1 Pharmacy Residents at Frederick Health. Outside of work, Dr. Knott enjoys staying active, spending time at the beach, and spending time with her dog, Ruby.
