If you have diabetes, our staff is here to help evaluate, educate and support
you. The Comprehensive Care Center offers a 10-hour education program
that includes an initial consultation to evaluate and teach you how to
better control your diabetes. You will also learn about carbohydrate counting
and blood sugar testing (if needed).
Your second visit will be with a dietitian who will help with meal planning
and weight management. These comprehensive group sessions will help you
better understand the different aspects of diabetes and teach you how
to take control. Individual diabetes education is also available.
Frederick Health’s
diabetes education program will help you gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive while
living with diabetes. Our classes are led by certified educators and experienced
healthcare professionals ready to work with you to find practical solutions
that fit your needs. Diabetes education is covered by Medicare and most
commercial insurance plans.
Gestational Diabetes Our staff will assist you with diabetes during your pregnancy. You will
have a consult with our specialists for carbohydrate counting and meal
planning. It is important during your pregnancy to keep your blood sugar
under control, and we are here to help you.
Insurance
Frederick Health Diabetes & Management accepts most insurances. As
a new patient coming into our program you may require a refer from your
provider. We ask that you call ahead to your insurance company to make
